Fuel/oil stripping system
Fuel tank maintenance on military aircraft requires large quantities of purge oil that would have to be disposed of after every use. Separating the jet fuel from the purge oil allowed the oil to be reused and the fuel to be used in ground support equipment. Hazardous waste disposal went from large quantities to zero.
